Mulberry fruit is widely grown in Asia. In our country, in terms of production, it can beconsidered the regions of Central Anatolia, Eastern Anatolia, Northeastern Anatolia andSouthern Anatolia. Considering the Eastern Anatolia Region; Malatya, Elazığ, Erzincan andErzurum are among our provinces that produce important mulberry.

Mulberry is a fruit that is very rich in vitamins C, A and K, as well as beta-carotene, alpha-carotene, fiber, magnesium, calcium, potassium and high antioxidants in terms of thenutritional values it contains. It is consumed fresh, dry in our country and in the world, as wellas used in the production of syrup, molasses and pestilence.

Dry mulberry is a condition in which the fruit is dried in the sun after the collection stage inorder to preserve it for a longer period of time, and the fruit shrinks in volume by losing thewater it has. In this way, the fruit can be stored and consumed for a longer time withoutlosing anything of its content.
